I worked with Portland's Parallel Studio to design an application using Pure Data to run a permanent audio installation at the San Francisco Nike Store. The install features an array of six ambisonic speakers along an escalator, creating a dynamic audio environment that evolves as the customers move towards the top. The sequence of audio files is selected through a non-repeating random algorithm, with unsynchronized background layers underlying the "events", so it is unlikely the listeners will ever hear the same bit of audio twice in their visit.
